The Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS) initiated a series of regular meeting, under the theme of “Herat and Politics”. The first round of this meeting devoted to “review of socio-political isolation of Herat”.This one-day meeting covered two panel discussions: 1) “Socio-historical contexts” and 2) “Review of political reasons of Herat isolation”.Participants of the meeting were governmental officials, policy makers, academics, media and civil society activists.
