On August 22, 2017 an 8-members team of Chinese scholars led by Professor Ye Hailin, the Director of Center for South Asia Studies of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) visited the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS). During the visit, the Chinese delegation held a meeting with the Director General of AISS. The two sides exchanged views on the opportunities and the challenges that lay in the way of bilateral cooperation between Afghanistan and China. The security situation in Afghanistan and the economic and regional developments were also discussed by the delegates.
