The Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS) representative attended the China’s “One Belt, One Road” Initiative: “A New Silk Road linking Asia, Africa and Europe” which was held from 14-15 May, 2017 in Beijing, China. The BRF is the highest-level forum under the Belt and Road Initiative and it aims to discuss ways to boost cooperation, build cooperation platforms and share cooperation outcomes. The One Belt One Road summit, the object of which is to build a “new Silk Road linking Asia, Africa and Europe”, largely focusing on infrastructure investment. This international forum attended by foreign heads of state and government and representatives from more than 130 countries and 70 international organizations. The AISS will release a detailed report of the event in upcoming days.
