The Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS) hosted a meeting between AISS director Dr. Davood Moradian and the Swedish Ambassadors to Iran, H.E. Mr. Peter Tejler, Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Lars-Hjalmar Wide, and Afghanistan, H.E. Mr. Peter Semneby. AISS hosted the meeting to exchange views on regional policies.

The discussion focused on security in the region. All emphasized stable and friendly Afghanistan-Pakistan and Afghanistan-Iran relationships.

The group also discussed AISS’s upcoming Herat Security Dialogue II, 5-6 October, and its importance as an annual forum designed to spur conversation about security in the region.

The Dialogue was also recognized as an integral outlet to establishing cooperative relationships between Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iran.
