Launch of the Special Issue in Tehran "The Glory of Herat"


The Iranology Encyclopedia Institute, in collaboration with Nimrooz Magazine, organized the ceremony to unveil the "The Glory of Herat" special issue, which was held in Tehran on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

'The Glory of Herat' special issue, a significant tribute to the history, culture, and civilization of Herat, one of the oldest cities in Greater Iran and present-day Afghanistan, was unveiled in a ceremony in Tehran.

The ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including Fereydoun Majlesi, a writer, translator, and diplomat researcher; Askar Mousavi Kabuli, a poet, writer, and professor of anthropology at Allameh Tabatabai University; and Morteza Razvanfar, a member of the Scientific Board of the Cultural Heritage Research Center.
Hassan Amin, poet, writer, jurist and director of the Iranology Encyclopedia, also hosted the ceremony.

The special issue of "The Glory of Herat" includes articles by prominent Iranian and Afghan writers and researchers and exquisite images of Herat's historical and cultural heritage. It was published and printed in Tehran in collaboration between the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies and Nimrooz Magazine.

The publication of this special issue and the holding of this ceremony are essential steps towards introducing Nowruzistan's inhabitants to its rich history and culture.
