In this paper, the central question is how to navigate compromises and reach an agreement on a peace settlement with the Taliban within the constitutional framework of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan? Although this paper focuses on a post-peace political system in Afghanistan, parts can be used for an interim and transitional period to build a political consensus in the country.
