Summary

Niamatullah Ibrahimi began collaborating with the New Media Project of the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies in 2015. Mr. Ibrahimi is an experienced Afghan political analyst who has extensively researched and written about politics and history of Afghanistan. His areas of interests include nationalism, religion and politics, and dynamics of social and political mobilization.

In 2013, Mr. Ibrahimi was granted the prestigious Endeavor Award to conduct his PhD in the Asia-Pacific College of Diplomacy at The Australian National University. Prior to beginning his doctoral research, Ibrahimi worked with many academic research institutions and think-tanks, including the International Crisis Group, the Crisis States Research Center of the London School of Economics. In 2012 he was a Visiting Fellow at the Center for Development Studies of the Free University of Berlin for 2012.
