In partnership with the Imperial College and Imperial As One, the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS) organized a book launch ceremony to release the English translation of “Tali Girls” at the Imperial College Business School on Wednesday, 13 March 2024. The second part was devoted to welcoming the ancient festival of Nowruz and Iran and Afghanistan’s New Year (21 March). The celebration included streaming a short documentary about Herat’s famous women, Nowruz poetry, and a Sama Dance performance by Ms Nilofar. The event was concluded by serving “Haft-Miva (Seven Fruits),” a traditional Afghan New Year dried fruit medley.
