The Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS) hosted “Afghanistan-India Dialogue.” The informal dialogue was organized on the occasion of the visit by Prof Kumar, director of Delhi Policy Group and her accompanying delegation.

The Indian Ambassador to Afghanistan, Mr Amar Sinha also joined the meeting. From Afghanistan, representatives from Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Parliament, Media, Academia and Political Parties also attended.

The two delegations exchanged views on the forthcoming Afghan presidential election, regional cooperation, threat of terrorism, cultural exchange and celebrating the region’s rich tradition of non-violent discourse and heritage.

The two sides also agreed on the promoting the great Persian poet “Bedel” as a symbol of shared cultural heritage by organizing an annual “Bedel Festival” across the region.
